The procedures are clearly written out and the results are easy to follow. It covered most water sources and did a detailed experiment to cover all aspects of the water. I noticed however, that our fountain water is more acidic than our pool water! Is that detrimental to us? Also, it would have been nice to see how some of these things affect our body, like the pH and oxidation levels.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"43299734","dateCreated":"1317222606","smartDate":"Sep 28, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"annaliu0503","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/annaliu0503","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/tasibgroup4.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43299734"},"dateDigested":1532126439,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Comment ","description":"I think that this is a very good experiment, because it is highly applicable to our daily lives. Every day people drink water from the different sources at our school without knowing whether there is a significant difference in quality or not. The way that the experiment was carried out was efficient, and the results inform the reader about each of the water sources. However, agreeing with Chris, i think that you should include some background information on how the pH level of water may affect our health.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"43272084","dateCreated":"1317172851","smartDate":"Sep 27, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"katem12112050","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/katem12112050","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/tasibgroup4.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43272084"},"dateDigested":1532126439,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Comment","description":"Again, I agree with everyone else in saying that this lab was very well organized. I also liked how a variety of tests were performed on a variety of water sources. However, I agree with Mika that it would be very useful to have some background information,or concluding statements, about the significance of the findings for human water intake and human health at Taipei American School. This is done for the Calcium test-- it is explicitly stated in the Evaluation that the hardness of water does not have a large impact on human health because the calcium intake is only a small amount of the normal daily intake. However, in the instance of pH, it is stated that the pH of the water that we typically drink is well below the optimum pH value. What is the importance of this when considering human health and water intake at our school?

However, like many said before, it was hard following the logic of the lab because I didn\u2019t know how the pH and Dissolved Oxygen affected the quality of water. In addition, the lab lacked a good conclusion that determines the rank or importance of the data that was collected. It would make more sense if there was a set standard for each factor that was tested for. Then the evaluation and analysis of your data could have been better and easier. Otherwise, I really enjoyed looking at the information provided by this lab.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"43214736","dateCreated":"1317097898","smartDate":"Sep 26, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"chrisl102878","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/chrisl102878","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/tasibgroup4.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43214736"},"dateDigested":1532126439,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Comment","description":"Again, I agree with everyone else in saying that this lab was very well organized.
